Kris was born in Dayton, Ohio (home of the Wright Brothers). She went to college at Ohio University and studied Graphic Arts. Ohio University is also where she met her husband, a Long Island boy. They married and lived in Jackson Heights, had two daughters, and moved to Rockville Centre. Included in her many interests are gardening, and her 30-year-old pet parrot Bubsy. In keeping with her art background, Kris wrote and illustrated a children’s book.
